Bad Credit and I don’t care
When talking to someone yesterday the conversation, after learning what I do, that was put to me is…..that people don’t give a “crap” about their credit….anymore……..and those are not my words. I responded that I disagree, people do care about their credit, they just don’t know what to do. I Do!
After I left that day, since I do credit repair I felt that this person had insulted me by saying to me that the last 20 years of my life were a wasted effort and that what I now and still do is worthless, and people could care less about what took them years to build and it will magically come back.
I asked this person if they lived in my neighborhood and they said yes. I then asked if they care about our streets, our neighborhoods, communities, state and country? The answer was yes. Then, how can we care about all that without caring about our credit? Is there a place for people who care about their credit? I too live in that persons neighborhood and can’t count the number of times people come up to my vehicle and ask me how I can help. How can I help? I start by listening, by being empathic, by being genuine, by being honest……yes, the economy stinks, my credit sucks…….your credit sucks……but guess what…..the wind that blows against that person is the same wind that blows on us all……blows on me, my family, my friends and we are in pretty much the same boat. The difference is that I want to reset the sail, because the same wind blowing on us all can help me on my voyage so that when my ship sails it will end up at a different location because I reset my sail, plotted my own course and did not let the economy take me to where I didn’t want to be.
The next time you step outside, see if the wind blowing feels like it is against your face or if it is at your back, your side, knocking you off course….comfortable, uncomfortable or should we reset our sail to get from where we are to where we want to be? Or say “We don’t care!” ……..anymore.
